corto.alto is the brainchild of award-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer & producer Liam Shortall. Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, this genre-defying producer brings together Hip-Hop, Broken Beat, Electronica, Dub and Punk influences with an informed Jazz sensibility.

His latest E.P release ‘Not for Now‘ (Released November 2021), amassed over 1 million streams across digital streaming platforms, as well as receiving multiple plays from Gilles Peterson‘s show on BBC Radio 2, as well as plays on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Scotland, Worldwide FM and more. corto.alto has also been awarded ‘Best Band’ and ‘Best Release’ in the Scottish Jazz Awards in 2020.
